The morning of 71st Republic Day of our motherland India, made the atmosphere of GG International School vibrant, happy and auspicious. The students, parents and staff of the school gathered together to celebrate their rights and responsibilities towards their nation.

The ceremony began by remembering the father of the nation, Mahatama Gandhi as the chief guest along with the principal and chief mentor of the school garlanded the Gandhi Bust installed within the school premises.

The Chief Guest for the day Mr. Vishvakant Upadhyay, the 1st ironman from Pune, hoisted the national flag, which fluttered in the bright blue sky in all its glory as the premises of GGIS echoed with the National Anthem sung with great enthusiasm by the students. Soon it was time for the much awaited Republic Day Parade, the students of class 5th to 8th marched in unison reflecting discipline and unity.

After the Flag Hoisting Ceremony, the bright morning of 26th January’2020 was filled with vibrant colours as students formed stunning and breathtaking pyramid formations. The skating ground of GGIS, Pimpri echoed with applaud. The pyramid formations were followed by an informative and engaging class presentation by the students of Grade 11th, the theme for which was Constitution.

In her welcome address, chief mentor of GG International School, Mrs Sonu Gupta enlightened the young audience with some interesting facts about the Constitition, the procedure of amendments and the importance of good governance.

The day came to an end with beautiful memories and the vote of thanks given by Ms Nikita Harslole, Activity Coordinator, GGIS.
